David Moyes personally met the agent of Bayern Munich star Toni Kroos last week, reveals Italian source TMW.
The attacking midfielder was the standout performer in the Champions League game against Arsenal last week, scoring a crucial goal in an impressive 2-0 win.
Manchester United manager Moyes was in the stands at the Emirates watching Kroos, who he has been continually linked with over the last month.
It is now being reported that Moyes took advantage of his presence at the Arsenal game to personally talk to the agent of Kroos ahead of a potential summer transfer bid.
Kroos' current contract at the Allianz Arena expires in the summer of 2015 and the Bavarian giants are struggling to agree an extension.
If his contract is allowed to run in to its final year, Bayern may be forced to sell the pass master with Manchester United in pole position.
Moyes' meeting with the agent of Kroos coincides with further reports from the British media regarding Manchester United's summer transfer plans for the player.
Reports from the Daily Mirror say that Moyes is ready to offer Kroos a massive £250,00-a-week to move to Old Trafford in the summer while Bayern Munich would want around £30m for the 24-year-old.
