Premier League: Top 5 youngsters

The Premier League is home to some of world football's brightest talents. In this article, we count down the top five best...

5 - Adnan Januzaj - Manchester United

The Belgian-born winger has proved himself under David Moyes. While United may not be having a good season at all by their standards, Januzaj himself has had a great season.

We first started to realise his talent in pre-season and then came that brilliant brace against Sunderland. The possibilities are endless for what Januzaj will become in the future. Some say he's overrated, but I think that in five years time he will be among Europe's big guns.

4 - Luke Shaw - Southampton

The Saints may well be in possession of possibly one of the world's greatest left-backs in a few years' time. Shaw has great defensive and attacking ability and is quick off the mark. He brings more energy into a Southampton team that are having a great season under Mauricio Pochettino.

3 - Romelu Lukaku - Everton/Chelsea

Lukaku has yet again done well on loan from Chelsea, scoring nine league goals. Everton are still in contention for a Europa League or even Champions League spot, though their Merseyside rivals look extremely close to making fourth place theirs.

Lukaku's pace and his mind-blowing strength have been his main assets this year, along with his clinical finishing. He, like Januzaj and Luke Shaw, will be among Europe's best in the coming years.

2 - James Ward-Prowse - Southampton

Whilst most of the attention is focused on Shaw, Ward-Prowse has also done well this season. He may not be a Three Lions asset just yet, but in a few years time we could see him become a crucial star for the Three Lions.

1 - Ross Barkley - Everton

Another future Three Lions star, Barkley has already adapted to the rough nature of the Premier League. He, very much like Lukaku, has a powerful shot and his strength helps him get past defenders and into a dangerous position. He may well become one of England's best in the near future.
