3. Kaka | AC Milan

Kaka used to be a brilliant midfielder, but why the 31-year-old is still considered one of the world’s best is a mystery - as is why Real Madrid splashed out a world-record £56m for the Brazilian in 2009.

Kaka was a huge disappointment at the Bernabeu due to a succession of injuries and the loss of his pace - but many could see it coming from a mile off.

The fact is, since his pace deserted him, 2007 Ballon d’Or winner Kaka has never been the same player.
