Published 1 Comments

It is amazing how much a transfer window can change a Premier League side's fortunes.

Manchester United are currently languishing in sixth spot after winning the Premier League last season because they failed to strengthen their squad.

David Moyes only managed to bring in one high profile player last summer as he failed to entice the likes of Cesc Fabregas and Thiago Alcantara to Old Trafford.

Manchester United are certainly paying for their lack of activity while the likes of Manchester City and Chelsea have improved immensely since the end of last season.

Manuel Pellegrini and Jose Mourinho brought in fantastic acquisitions during pre-season with the likes of Alvaro Negredo and Willian impressing for Manchester City and Chelsea respectively.

Here we take a look at how the Premier League's top six teams are faring this season as compared to the 2012/13 campaign.

The following statistics, which were brought to our attention by Sporting Intelligence, are based on results taken from the same fixtures as last season.
