Arsenal legend Alan Smith has insisted that Manchester United have assembled the best attacking force in the Premier League.
In his column for The Telegraph, Smith suggested that only Liverpool could match the Premier League champions in terms of ability.
Having recently signed Juan Mata for a club record fee, Manchester United boss David Moyes also has the luxury of calling upon the likes of Wayne Rooney, Robin van Persie and teenage talent Adnan Januzaj in his attacking line.
And that quartet of stars is deemed as the best in the division by Smith, as he wrote: "In truth, that same front four, including Januzaj, is good enough to pick holes in any defence. In terms of sheer ability, rivalled only by Liverpool in the Premier League.
"That must act as great comfort for the under-fire Moyes. Keep that lot fit and deficiencies elsewhere will not always matter so much – or should I say Mata?"
Despite having struggled this season - currently sitting in sixth place in the Premier League - the future looks bright for Moyes and his Manchester United side.
Manchester United's attacking stars - without the cup tied Mata - will now be hoping to put on a show in Europe as the Red Devils look to secure a first leg lead in their Round of 16 clash with Greek side Olympiacos tonight.
It remains to be seen as to who Moyes will opt for in place of Mata, with the likes of Antonio Valencia, Ashley Young and Shinji Kagawa all hoping for a starting berth.
