Chelsea midfielder, John Obi Mikel, could be moving to Inter Milan in the summer, according to Gazzetta dello Sport.
The 26 year old has been at Chelsea since 2006, but has struggled to make his way into Jose Mourinho's squad this season. The signing of Nemanja Matic in January along with the performances of Ramires and Frank Lampard from the centre of the park has left the Nigerian watching on from the sidelines.
As such Inter could offer Mikel a chance to get a fresh opportunity. Mikel is high on Inter's wish list to protect the defence and add a physical presence in the centre of the field.
It is rumoured that a fee of €15million would be enough to tempt the 26-yea-old away from Stamford Bridge, but his wages could be a stumbling block to a permanent move. The possibility of a loan or a player swap could push through the deal.
Inter are hoping that the links with Mourinho, the chance to appear in a different championship and the attraction of the Italian capital will all be factors in persuading Mikel to make the move.
