When Real Madrid arrive at the Veltins Arena to take on Schalke 04 tomorrow night, they will have a giant of the game in tow.

Cristiano Ronaldo, currently the world's best player, will be well rested and ready to fire Real Madrid in to the quarter-finals of the Champions League.

The Bundesliga outfit have an epic task on their hands to keep the two-time Ballon d'Or winner at bay.

Spanish media Marca have summed up their task with a hilarious photoshop job, depicting Ronaldo as Gulliver, with tiny Schalke players trying in vain to tie him to the ground.

As a metaphor it works perfectly, Ronaldo seems set on winning La Decima with Los Blancos, undoubtedly firing him further into Bernabeu folklore.

Ronaldo has already scored nine goals in just five Champions League starts this season, which, incredibly, is three more than the six the entire Schalke team managed in their six group games.

Despite their low scoring, they still qualified for the last 16 behind Chelsea but face an epic task keeping out the free scoring Real Madrid.
