Miguel Angel Jiménez has named his wildcard picks for next month’s Eurasia Cup.
Europe’s captain has called up Thorbjørn Olesen and golfing world ambassador Pablo Larrazábal as his selections.

The Spaniard expressed his delight in joining a team including the likes of Graeme McDowell and man-of-the-moment Victor Dubuisson.

Elsewhere Paul Lawrie has announced he won’t be playing any part at the Trophée Hassan II in Morocco. But it’s not an injury that’s keeping the Scot out of action it’s his beloved Aberdeen. Lawrie is in desperate need of Ryder Cup points but has instead opted to watch his team take on Inverness Caledonian Thistle in the Scottish League Cup final.

We end today’s news on this video of Rory McIlroy. Uploaded by the Northern Irishman to his Vimeo page, it shows McIlroy pumping iron in the gym… he’s next in action at The Honda Classic; a tournament he quit in the middle of his second round last year.

That’s all for today, we’ll be back tomorrow where we’ll be joined by Cara Robinson in Florida. As ever find us on Facebook, twitter or Instagram and get in touch using the #GWTV.
