Michael Jordan may have retired from professional basketball over a decade ago, but has brand remains as strong as it has ever been with latest figures revealing his shoes made an enormous $2.25 billion last year alone.

Jordan and Nike have an association that dates back to 1984, with his first signature shoe - the Nike Air Jordan I - released a year later, and fans are still clambering to get their hands on his branded goods.

The Jumpman logo is one of the most recognisable in sport and some fans even go as far as paying tribute to His Airness by having it inked onto their skin or even shaved into their hair. Spare a thought then for this young fan who tried to do the latter.

All he wanted was for the logo of his hero Michael Jordan to be trimmed into his barnet, but the cut he received was beyond amateurish. Cue playground taunts and a fail that has gone viral.
