Given his achievements with Borussia Dortmund, the future of Jurgen Klopp is the subject of frequent speculation, and the past few days have been no different with renewed links to Manchester United emerging in the English press.

Klopp has won two Bundesliga titles, a German cup and reached the final of the Champions League during his time at Westfalenstadion to mark himself out as one of the best managers in Europe.

The 46-year-old has, though, always maintained that he is content with life even Dortmund - even if the title will prove to be beyond them for a second successive season - and leaving the club is not a thought he tends to entertain.

Speaking to, however, Klopp concedes he would consider becoming the manager of Germany were he to be approached in the future, but adds that the national team already have a ‘fantastic’ coach in Joachim Löw at present.

“Not yet, but obviously it’s basically a very attractive proposition,” Klopp said when asked if he would take the job.

“I’m very happy living in Germany, I think it’s a fantastic country and the people are pretty cool.

“If they were enthusiastic about me taking on the national team at some point I’d obviously think it over, although quite a lot of things would have to come together for that to happen.

“But joking aside we have a fantastic national coach and I have a terrific job with Borussia Dortmund, so everything’s fine.”

Following Klopp’s recent link with Manchester United he has been shortened to 7/1 to replace David Moyes at Old Trafford, second favourite behind Bayern Munich rival Pep Guardiola at 6/1.
