New York Knicks point guard Raymond Felton is certainly in trouble after today it was announced that he has been arrested for weapons possession, but he isn't without his supporters though.
Former New York Giants wide-receiver Plaxico Burress is one of those supporters, with the big man both famously and infamously well known in the Big Apple.
Burress was the man that helped the Giants to their first Super Bowl win with Eli Manning at the helm, but he was also imprisoned a few years later because he accidentally fired off an illegal gun in a nightclub.
He became the scapegoat for gun penalties in New York City after he shot himself in the leg and spent two years in prison as a result.
Knicks guard Felton is now facing his own legal battle after a firearm owned by him was handed into police by his wife that he is estranged from.
Burress explained that New York City will support Felton through his issues.
“It’s an unfortunate situation for Raymond Felton,” Burress said Tuesday on ESPN’s “Outside the Lines.” “I’ve been through something of that nature. I believe city of New York will support him.”
