David Moyes odds-on favourite to leave Manchester United

Sky Bet have slashed odds on David Moyes to be the next manager sacked after his latest failing.

The Manchester United manager saw his side succumb to a 2-0 defeat away to Olympiacos on Tuesday night, leading to a torrent of calls from fans for him to be sacked.

Now the bookmaker has taken notice, shortening his odds to 8/11 on for him to be the next Premier League manager to leave his post. The next most likely is West Brom's Pepe Mel at 5/2.

The odds follow a run of poor performances that has seen the Red Devils fall away from the top four after shock home defeats to West Brom, Newcastle, Tottenham and Everton.

Moyes, who was given a six-year deal at the start of the season, has struggled to replicate the success achieved by Sir Alex Ferguson.

There was still a belief that Moyes would be given time to turn it around with reports that a huge summer transfer budget of £200m would be granted to him to help get Manchester United back to the top,

But after Robin van Persie's quotes that he is not happy with the set-up and Nemanja Vidic reportedly not changing with the team, it seems the Moyes' position at Old Trafford is getting weaker and weaker.
