Liverpool will make a bid for highly-rated Bundesliga star Roberto Firmino this summer, and have made him one of their top priorities for the transfer window, according to the Metro.
The paper claims that the Reds are preparing themselves for a busy period come the end of the season, and are anticipating extra funds to put towards summer purchases from the revenue they will make should they qualify for the Champions League.
Rumours linking them with a number of top-class midfielders, including Real Madrid’s Isco, have been rife in recent days, and Brendan Rodgers reportedly ranks the 22-year-old Firmino high on his list of desired options.
As such it’s expected that Liverpool will offer as much as £12million in order to convince Hoffenheim into a sale, though the German club will not be keen on the idea of letting one of their prized assets leave.
On Firmino’s part, he may push for a move as he wants to increase the chances of playing for Brazil.
