Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers will need to strengthen his current squad in the summer especially since they expect to make the Champions League.
Let's focus on their sub-par midfield for now...
The club was linked with quite a few players last month in the January window but were not able to acquire any new signings.
Their most eyed player Mohamed Salah - who was playing for FC Basel - moved to Chelsea instead.
They then turned their attention to Dnipro's Yevhen Konoplynaka but were not fast enough to get the transfer done on time on the deadline day.
With Champions League football in mind, Rodgers will have to look at getting some new blood to add to their current talented crop of players.
“I think we’ll need to strengthen the overall squad and looking to obviously introduce more quality, but it’s only natural,” he said.
“The players have been brilliant this season in terms of what they’ve produced, with what we have, and we just look to continue to develop the squad and I think when we do that then we can be there (in the title race).”
Ukrainian midfielder Konoplyanka is expected to sign with The Reds in the summer, with his club already having confirmed they are looking to go through with the deal.
