Justin Rose has made a shock withdrawal from the Honda Classic taking place in Florida this week.

The world number six has pulled out of the Palm Beach event due to a shoulder injury which he originally hurt tossing a ball to his caddy at The Barclays back in August – He’s still expected to play a part in the WGC Cadillac Championship next week.

While Justin Rose won’t be at PGA National, regular Jason Allred will be, despite his wife just giving birth. A T3 finish at the Northern Trust Open gave him exemption for the Honda but his third child’s imminent arrival put his participation in doubt - however we’re happy to report that mother and new-born daughter are doing well after a Monday morning delivery and Allred arrived in Florida on Tuesday just in time to play a few practice holes.

The LPGA’s finest are in the Singapore for the HSBC Champions and Suzann Pettersen has been throwing herself into local tradition and tweeted this photograph of herself, Inbee Park, ShanShan Feng and Paula Creamer. Pettersen has the chance to replace Park at the top of the rankings if she wins this weekend and the South Korean does not finish better than tied for third.

And finally, yesterday we reported on Paul Lawrie missing the Trophee Hassan II because he was going to watch his beloved Aberdeen instead. The Scot was watching them again last night and after their win he celebrated with a cold one in this rather exclusive cup!

That’s all for today, join us tomorrow as we bring you more news ahead of first day of The Honda Classic. As ever keep in touch using the #GWTV on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram.
