New York Knicks head coach Mike Woodson has given his support to point guard Raymond Felton despite the gun charges that he faces.
Woodson spoke today of how loyal the Knicks franchise is to its players, and maintained that Felton is still a part of the team.
He even went further by actually stating to the press that he would be selecting Felton on Thursday when the Knicks travel to Florida to face the Miami Dolphins.
Speaking today, Knicks coach Woodson insisted that Felton will play Thursday vs Heat despite legal troubles. Sports Center tweeted that Woodson said, "Bottom line Ray is part of the team."
Knicks guard Felton is certainly in trouble after yesterday it was announced that he had been arrested for weapons possession, but he isn't without his supporters though.
Former New York Giants wide-receiver Plaxico Burress is amongst his other supporters.
Burress became the scapegoat for gun penalties in New York City after he shot himself in the leg and spent two years in prison as a result, but he feels the City will support Felton more.
