LeBron James isn’t one to rest on his laurels when off the court, and it would appear that he’s not going to take any unnecessary time off with the broken nose he sustained during the game against the Oklahoma City Thunder.
Despite missing out on the Miami Heat’s victory over the Chicago Bulls on Sunday, James has already resumed non-contact drills and is set to make his return against the New York Knicks this Thursday.
It’s thought that the reigning MVP will be wearing a protective mask to rule out the risk of aggravating the injury to his nose, but according to team-mate Chris Bosh, that won’t hinder him at all.
James trained with the Heat yesterday, and when Bosh was asked if the injury had affected his prowess in anyway, he simply replied: “[He was] The same."
“He can break anything, and he'll still look the same. That's why he's LeBron."
The news of the power forward’s quick recovery will no doubt please Heat fans. Miami have picked up results after a short dip in form, and are now well on course to reach to playoffs, where they’ll be vying for their third consecutive NBA championship.
