Jordan Gross yesterday called time on his NFL career after 10 years at the Carolina Panthers.
And, as this video shows, his teammates (and supporting cast) gave the offensive tackle an appropriately unique send off at a press conference at the Bank of America Stadium.
Who knew Panthers center Ryan Kalil had such an angelic voice hidden behind that beard?
The big man led a barbershop quartet in a personalised rendition of "happy trails" (the theme song to 1950s TV hit 'The Roy Rogers show') in honor of Gross with the high pitched final line being our personal favorite...
"You'll be missed on third and ten"
Perhaps the perfect send off for a player who was drafted in the first round in 2003 and went on to make three Pro-Bowls during his time in Carolina.
At 33-years of age Gross leaves the league having made the most starts for the franchise in NFL history.
If only every retirement was followed in the same way.
