Manchester United winger Adnan Januzaj has rejected an offer from Kosovo to play for their national side, reports the Daily Star.
The 19-year-old has been the stand out star for David Moyes' team this season, breaking into the first team with a mix of flair and creativity that has been sorely lacking at Old Trafford this season.
The youngster has a number of nations he can appear for due to his Kosovan and Albanian parents, his Belgian birthplace and his length of time in England.
Kosovo are due to play their first ever FIFA recognised match soon, a friendly against Haiti.
The fledging nation were hopeful that the winger would turn down all the other offers and choose them.
Even if Januzaj played in the friendly, he could have chosen another nation to play for in the future as the match is not an official qualifier.
The youngster has appeared 19 times for Manchester United this term, scoring three times.
The emergence of Januzaj has been a silver lining for United this season, with performances not at their usual standard as David Moyes familiarises himself with the daunting role of bringing success to Old Trafford on a consistent basis.
