Tottenham take to the field against Dnipro this evening needing to overturn a 1-0 deficit against their Ukrainian opponents if they are to prolong their participation in the Europa League any further.

They fell to a shock 1-0 defeat thanks to a Yevhen Konoplyanka penalty in Ukraine last week, but they'll have high hopes of putting in a much-improved performance in front of a home crowd.

Manager Tim Sherwood has come under fire after the 1-0 defeat against Norwich which followed last week's loss against Dnipro.

He refused to blame the long distance travelled and the quick turnaround for that defeat at Carrow Road - and there will be no excuses if they don't pull off the victory they require to make it to the last 16 this evening.

Tottenham may well be able to call upon the services of midfielder Sandro after the Brazilian returned to training this week - although Etienne Capoue limped off against Norwich and is unavailable.

Indeed, the north London have a growing injury list; Kyle Walker, Danny Rose, Younes Kaboul, Gylfi Sigurdsson, Erik Lamela and Vlad Chiriches are all currently sidelined.

Striker Jermain Defoe will play his last game for the club before jetting up to join MLS outfit Toronto - although Sherwood has already revealed that Roberto Soldado will start so he may be forced to take a spot on the bench.

Tottenham predicted line-up: Friedel, Naughton, Fryers, Vertonghen, Dawson, Bentaleb, Dembele, Townsend, Lennon, Soldado, Paulinho

Predicted score: Tottenham 3-0 Dnipro
