Minor League team to pay tribute to Harold Ramis with Ghostbusters jersey

Published Add your comment

This week saw the sad passing of comedy acting legend, and star of the Ghostbusters franchise, Harold Ramis.

The actor/director was a native of Illinois and now it looks like one minor league baseball team from the state is set to honor his memory in a truly unique style.

The Toledo Mud Hens, a Triple-A league affiliate of the Detroit Tigers, posted to their official Instagram account today a mock up of the ghostbuster-inspired jersey seen above along with this message:

"First look at artwork of the #Ghostbusters jerseys that the team will wear on May 30. #whoyagonnacall"

So unfortunately we won't be able to see them in the flesh for a few months yet, but these teaser images are sure to go down well with movie and baseball fans alike.

Odds are against the Mud Hens taking to the diamond with proton packs attached too though - but we can all dream.
