The Buffalo Bills and New York Giants will contest the 2014 NFL Hall of Fame game, the league has announced today.
The game is scheduled for the 3rd August and will kick off the preseason schedule in traditional fashion.
Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports tweeted earlier today: "Bills and Giants will play in Hall of Fame Game, NFL announces"
The NFL later confirmed this via their official website.
Hall of Fame games have been held since 1962 at Fawcett Stadium near the Pro Football Hall of Fame in Canton, Ohio.
The Buffalo Bills last played in the game in 2009 where they lost to the Tennessee Titans. The two teams met for the 50th anniversary of the American Football league and were represented by the only two original owners still working for the teams, although the Titans had been changed names from the Houston Oilers.
The Giants last played in 2002, when they defeated the Houston Texans who were taking part in their inaugural season.
