The initial 30-man England squad for the friendly game against Denmark has been (see below) announced and there are some surprising omissions such as Sunderland's Adam Johnson and Manchester City's Everton loanee Gareth Barry.

But before we talk about the omissions, lets look at the most surprising players included in the squad.
