The New Orleans Saints could well be about to dip into the free agent market and snap up safety Louis Delmas.
So far this post-season, the Saints have released a host of pricey veterans in order to free up space on the wage bill.
Roman Harper was one of those players to be shown the door, and the Saints may have already identified the man to replace him.
Delmas, formerly of the Detroit Lions, has been attracting interest from across the league, is said to have paid a visit to New Orleans in order to discuss his future.
Previous reports have suggested that he has also spoken to the Pittsburgh Steelers.
While the Saints are busy trying to sign new players, keeping hold of one of their own is their biggest tasks at the moment.
Jimmy Graham still hasn't put pen paper on a new contract as yet, and Saints general manager Micky Loomis says he will be franchise tagged if talks don't work out - however that could lead to more problems when it comes to deciding what position he should be paid in line with.
