Manchester United and Liverpool have joined the race to sign Inter Milan youngster Ibrahima Mbaye, reports talkSPORT.
The 19-year-old defender, who is currently on loan at Serie 'A' rivals Livorno, has risen to prominence after a series of impressive performances at Armando Picchi this season.
Red Devils boss David Moyes has been credited with an interest in bringing the talented teenager to Old Trafford, but could face stiff competition for his signature.
Lazio and Juventus are both believed to be monitoring Mbaye's development closely, while Liverpool have also been mooted as admirers of the full-back, as Brendan Rodgers plans to continue his recruitment drive at Anfield in the summer.
Mbaye is under contract at the San Siro until 2016, but with a valuation of around £2.2million, he could become the subject of a four-way tussle when the transfer window reopens at the end of the season.
Inter are keen to offer the in-demand star a new deal in a bid to ward off attention from a growing number of clubs, but will have to move quickly before the youngster has his head turned by other suitors.
