Inter Milan are ready to enter the race to sign highly rated Benfica striker Rodrigo, reports talkSPORT.
Arsenal had held an interest in Rodrigo in the January transfer window, with reports suggesting that Arsene Wenger had made an enquiry over his availability.
Although the Gunners boss has placed Real Madrid star Alvaro Morata on top of his transfer wish list, talkSPORT say that Rodrigo remains on his radar ahead of the summer transfer window.
But Arsenal will face competition for the 22-year-old's as Inter Milan are ready to rival Arsenal, amongst others, for his signature.
New Indonesian owner Erick Thohir is ready to sanction a big summer of spending to send Inter back to the top of Serie A. Now it seems Rodrigo has forced his way onto their most wanted.
The Benfica striker has scored 10 goals in all competitions this season and has attracted the interest of Atletico Madrid and Zenit St Petersburg as well.
Eagle-eyed fans in England will remember Rodrigo from his short loan move to Bolton Wanderers.
In 17 appearances, he managed just one goal at the Reebok Stadium but only four of those were starts.
