Top 6: Most creative Premier League players in 2013/14 (1)

One of Manchester United's biggest problems this season has been a lack of creativity from midfield.

David Moyes' strikers have been starved of a regular supply line upfront, and as a result have suffered significantly as they looked to defend their Premier League title in 2013/14.

Despite their wealth of attacking options, that includes the likes of Wayne Rooney, Robin van Persie, Danny Welbeck and Javier Hernandez, the absence of any real artistry or flair has had a hugely negative impact on the collective team in the post Sir Alex Ferguson era.

The January signing of Juan Mata briefly raised hopes at Old Trafford, but once it was realised that the former Chelsea star's £37.1million arrival had failed to address the underlying problem, fans are now facing up to the prospect of a season without Champions League football next year.

Manchester United's shortcomings are highlighted even further by this talkSPORT study which identifies the six most creative players in the Premier League this season, with not a single Old Trafford star featuring on the list.
