Matt Hardy and Jeff Hardy last wrestled together in January 2011, but could the dynamic duo be set for a shocking return?

Well it may not be WWE but the brothers could team up for a charity wrestling event in their home state of North Carolina in April.

Matt Hardy is scheduled to take part in an OMEGA wrestling event on April 26th in Cameron and he has hinted on his twitter account that his performance may include his brother Jeff.

"On 4/26, Jeff & I team & are putting out an open challenge to the greatest teams in the biz. WE WANT A DREAM MATCH!" Matt tweeted along with a promotional poster of the two.

The event in the pair's hometown will benefit Union Pines High School and the event will be held at their former school.

The Hardy brothers wrestled together between 1993 and 2011 in different forms of wrestling including WWE and TNA.

Their career highlights include winning their first WWE Tag-Team Championship in 1999, the pair have also had a number of feuds and splits. The last of these occurred in 2010 and led to the duo's departure from WWE.
