Derek Carr could be joined by brother David in 2014 NFL

2014 Draft prospect Derek Carr could be joined by his brother in the NFL next season.

David Carr, himself a former first overall draft pick and 10 year league veteran, is planning a comeback to the league if reports are to be believed.

According to Fox Sports' Mike Garafolo both Carr brothers are to work out with former Bucs offensive coordinator, and Giants coach, Mike Sullivan in the coming weeks.

While Derek is using this workout in order to prepare him for the upcoming Fresno State pro day, his brother is hoping to prepare himself for a return to the NFL.

David Carr was the first pick in 2002 to the Texans but the quarterback never really lived up to expectations.

The now 34 year old spent time at the Panthers, Giants (twice) and 49ers between 2002-2012 - earning a Super Bowl ring with the Giants as Eli Manning's understudy.

He previously worked out with the Cowboys last season and seems set to give his career one last chance in the big leagues this time around.

Derek meanwhile is a much safer bet to be seen in an NFL jersey next season, with the QB predicted to go as high as no. 8 in this year's draft.
