LeBron James' mask has been the talk of the NBA since he first donned the Batman-esk accessory on Thursday night but could that could be the last we saw of it?
James has had comparisons between himself and the Caped Crusader since he emerged to play the New York Knicks in the now controversial mask.
However, as has previously happened with Kyrie Irving and Kobe Bryant, the NBA has requested that he now switch to a clear mask.
NBA spokesman Tim Frank said: "It is our understanding LeBron used the black mask because a clear one he was comfortable with wasn't ready,"
LeBron has since appealed against the request and is trying to gain permission to wear the dark mask as he likes the lightness and fit of it.
Nevertheless, James is preparing to use a clear mask in tomorrow's game at home to the Orlando Magic.
A switch to a clear mask could disappoint fans and team-mates alike as many of the Heat players were pictured wearing the mask following their victory over the Knicks on Thursday.
Miami have also since started selling T-shirts with images of a masked James on them.
Miami may have lost their dark knight, but with LeBron James in the team they may be left asking Batman who?
