3. Chris Smalling
Chris Smalling's form of late has been dire, there are not two ways about it.
He has looked out of his depth in every performance since David Moyes took over and has not shown any sort of passion or commitment, to make matters worse.
His form may improve in the future and he could have many good years ahead of him, but he has been lamentable this season and as such must be dropped.
Even before this season he was not exactly a star, only looking competent on a good day. Another case of an over-hyped English (specifically Manchester United) youngster.
Stoke's Ryan Shawcross is more deserving of another chance at international level, despite his horror display against Sweden, where Zlatan Ibrahimovic ran the show.
Sporting Lisbon's Eric Dier is another potential option. At just 21 he has great potential and has already started to cement a first-team place there.
