Sporting Lisbon star William Carvalho has admitted that he could be on his way to Manchester United in the summer.
The highly-rated midfielder, who has a massive £37.1m buyout clause, has been attracting interest from some of Europe's top clubs including Chelsea, Manchester City and Real Madrid.
But it is Manchester United who are thought to be most keen having reportedly scouted the player 13 times already this season.
And it is a move to Old Trafford that seems to be interesting Carvalho most, who confirmed the interest of both David Moyes and Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti in a recent interview.
Speaking after Sporting's game against Braga, Carvalho told reporters: "It's nice being praised and to know there are some big clubs interested in me."
When asked about his future, he added: "It could be Manchester United or Real Madrid. It's just nice to have a great European club after me, but at the moment I'm just totally focused on Sporting and doing my best until the end of the season.
Carvalho is rumoured to be one of a number of targets for Moyes this summer as he looks to spend big to help Manchester United compete with rivals Chelsea and Manchester City next year.
Chelsea themselves have already dipped into the Portuguese market this year, signing Nemanja Matic from Benfica in January. Their Portuguese manager Jose Mourinho still holds a number of strong links in his native country and could still have a say in Carvalho's future.
Of course Manchester City's spending power can never be ignored either and if Manuel Pellegrini chooses to meet Carvalho's release clause there is little their rivals can do to match it.
