Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho is keeping a close check on Verona wing wizard Juan Manuel Iturbe and will rival Juventus, Barcelona and Roma for the Argentine starlet this summer, according to Italian publication Tuttosport.
Iturbe has shone in Serie A this season on a long-term loan from Portuguese giants Porto, who are willing to sell the potential superstar if the price is right at the close of the campaign.
The 20-year-old was courted by both Juventus and Roma in January but is committed to Verona for the remainder of the campaign, which means potential suitors have until this summer to nail down a concrete deal with Porto.
Tuttosport believe that Porto value the versatile forward at €15m, which put off Barcelona boss Gerardo Martino from attempting to sign a player he knows very well from his time in Paraguay.
Mourinho is now the latest coach to be impressed by Iturbe's all-action style and is reportedly giving serious consideration to a summer offer, despite serious competition from Italy and Spain and his vast array of options in a similar position.
Roma are still believed to be front runners for the signature of one of European football's hottest properties, although there is no official on the table at this stage as Porto consider their options moving forward.
