The Tampa Bay Buccaneers today unveiled their new uniform for the 2014 season.
According to the franchises' official website:
"The new NFL Nike Elite 51 Uniform...honors the Buccanneers' rich tradition while boldly bringing the team into the future through a modern industrial design aesthetic."
Last week the Bucs revealed a new updated logo for the franchise and the 2014 uniforms again emphasise this new era according to co-chairman Edward Glazer:
"The result is a sleek, modern design that honors our championship past while also establishing a new, bolder identity moving forward," he explained.
The new uniforms see a more vibrant shade of "Buccaneer Red" while there is the addition of a new "Bay Orange" primary trim color on the jersey and pants which is a homage to Bucs teams of the past.
The uniforms will be the first in the NFL to incorporate a new reflective chrome border around the numbers - with the idea that they will be more easily readable to fans.
Alongside the new helmet logo and secondary ship logo, the uniforms are a culmination of more than two years of research and planning according to Glazer.
What do you think? Thumbs up for the new look?
