Indianapolis Colts quarterback Andrew Luck has admitted that it will be great to get Reggie Wayne back on board next season, after the veteran receiver missed out late last season.
Wayne is now 35 years old and certainly in the Indian Summer of his playing career, but that doesn't mean he won't be as effective next season.
For the six-time Pro Bowl receiver, his role is now as much about teaching the young receivers how to play as much as it is about playing himself.
His presence on the field is as important as his production, and Luck says he can't wait to feel is impact again in a Colts uniform.
"It was tough with Reg out [last season]," Luck said. "Obviously he's had so much production and third downs and red zones and everything. It was a great opportunity for other guys to step up, for myself to get better as a quarterback. Having him back is going to be awesome."
As well as thinking about Wayne's return, Luck is focused on improving his footwork skills, which he feels would benefit his play tremendously.
"I think footwork, just making sure my feet are right. Pep Hamilton's big on footwork."
