With Luke Shaw being called up to the England squad for the first time for the friendly with Denmar, he looks to be set to earn his first cap after impressing in the past few seasons with Southampton.

However, it has not been the first time an on form player has been called up to the national squad and faded into international and club obscurity.

There have been many players that have claimed just the solitary cap for the national side, despite showing huge potential.

Shaw has potential to succeed in the game, and will hope he doesn't find himself on future lists like this one.
