Houston Texans to prioritize tight end in free agency

The Houston Texans are reportedly in conversations with pending free agent tight end, Garrett Graham over a new contract.

The tight end is emerging as the Texan's number one free agent priority after the NFL's tight end free agents market became very shallow after franchise tags were applied.

Dennis Pitta signed an extension with the Baltimore Ravens and the New Orleans Saints slapped a franchise tag on Jimmy Graham.

These moves meant that teams seeking tight end help this offseason might look toward Texan's Graham as the best available player and his price is set to soar.

The Green Bay Packers are one side that could reportedly be interested in signing the Texan receiver. According to Pro Football Talk, the Packers have been keen on the player ever since he entered the league and he might be viewed as an automatic replacement for Jermichael Finely should the veteran should retire.

Garrett Graham had 545 receiving yards and five touchdowns last seasons in his third year in the league.
