Steve Nash is determined to return to the court next season for the Los Angeles Lakers.
In an uncertain and uneasy season for the Lakers there is one thing for sure, Steve Nash wants to play again next season, whether the Lakers will keep him is another question.
The point guard is currently the oldest active player in the NBA at 40 years old.
Nash has been through his struggles this season and has had terrible trouble with injuries, he is currently sidelined for possibly the rest of the season as he continues to battle nerve issues.
In his 18th year in the NBA, Nash is struggling with the mental side of the game as well as the physical. His current strife is being documented by a programme called 'The Finish Line', which you can check out here.
The problem with Nash wanting to continue next season is that the issue is not under his control, the Lakers have until Sept 1st to determine whether they want to waive Nash via the 'stretch provision' in which his salary is stretched out over three years.
When asked on Monday about his will to play, Nash responded "I want to come back for sure."
I think I speak on behalf of all NBA fans when I say we hope to see Nash play for one more season, even if it is so that he can go out on his on terms, the way a two-time-MVP and future hall of famer deserves too.
