New York Knicks superstar Carmelo Anthony has lavished praise on Minnesota Timberwolves power forward Kevin Love.
The Knicks will be looking to severely strengthen their roster in the offseason as the Eastern Conference franchise have failed to compete for a spot in the playoffs during the current campaign.
Love has the fourth highest points per game ratio in the NBA so far this season - with Kevin Durant, LeBron James and the aforementioned Anthony the only players above the 25-year-old.
The Minnesota Timberwolves power forward is also one of the best rebounders in the NBA.
Love could be one of several new additions at the end of the season - with the New York Knicks seeming to have Anthony's seal of approval.
Speaking to the New York Daily News, Anthony said on his USA teammate: “He’s a guy who, he became a stretch-4. He never was a stretch-4 before.
“He worked on his shot. He worked on his three-ball. He worked on stretching the floor, spreading floor out. He can also go inside. He’s one hell of a rebounder. He’s a big load."
The New York Knicks will have to do without Love until the end of the season as the trade window is now closed.
Anthony and Co. will be hoping their fortunes change in their next game against Love's Timberwolves at the Target Center on Wednesday night.
