Brooklyn Nets center Kevin Garnett will miss his third game in a row tonight because of severe back spasm problems.
The Nets host Memphis Grizzlies tonight 7:30pm EST as they hope to get their four straight win, but they will have to do it without Garnett.
Garnett has played most of this season in the slightly unfamiliar center position because of the season-ending broken foot injury that Brook Lopez suffered in December.
This injury has forced the former Boston Celtics power forward into a center position that he is less comfortable with.
Couple that with niggling injuries, and it hasn't been the most productive of seasons so far for the former NBA champion.
However, since the turn of the year, Garnett has upped his game and has been shooting at 57 percent from the field in 2014.
The Nets would like to have Garnett back sooner rather than later even though they have won their last two games without him.
Brooklyn are currently riding a three-game winning streak as they hope to maintain their push towards a post-season place.
