Devin Hester has said he is going to be leaving the Chicago Bears.

Talking to NFL Network he said that he won't be a Bear next season.

The 31 year old has been in Chicago since he was drafted in 2006.

Since then, he has become well respected in the league primarily as a punt and kickoff returner.

He is currently tied for the most return touchdowns in his career with Prime Time Deion Sanders which means he will likely break that record with a new team.

Hester said on NFL's Total Access show that: "Chicago wants to go a different route with me. All I want to say is, thanks to Chicago for the support."

Hester would have been in the final year of a four year contract and he frees up around $2 million for the Bears salary cap with his departure.
