Manchester United could be facing a summer transfer tug o' war with Juventus over one of the most exciting young talents in Portugal at the moment.
According to Calciomercato, Juventus have been watching Sporting Lisbon youngster William Carvalho and are interested in the possibly of going up against Manchester United in the summer to secure his signature.
David Moyes has been credited with an interest in the 21-year-old for some time, but a buyout clause in his contract means the Premier League holders would have to shell out a hefty £37.5million to land him.
Manchester United are having a poor season, Moyes' first in charge since he succeeded Sir Alex Ferguson, and look likely to miss out on Champions League football next season after falling 12 points behind the top four and losing 2-0 away to Olympiacos in the first leg of their last 16 tie.
Moyes has reportedly been given a substantial transfer budget to rebuild the Red Devils come the summer and bringing in Carvalho would go some way to helping strengthen a midfield department that has been criticised a lot recently.
However, it now appears as though any move for Carvalho will not be straightforward, as the Calciomercato report claims Juventus boss Antonio Conte is very keen on him.
