Another round of international fixtures have come and gone - but with the World Cup well and truly on the horizon they were anything but meaningless.
Players across the globe sought to further their case and book a spot on a plane destined for Brazil next summer, while managers tried to decipher who they could rely to withstand the heat - on and off the pitch - during the biggest tournament in world football.
England gaffer Roy Hodgson, for example, went into his game with a 30-man squad for the Three Lions' game against Denmark, with the aim of getting a closer look at as many players as possible.
So last night really was one of the last chances for some players to confirm their place in Brazil - and we happen to think that these eleven players certainly would have impressed their respective managers.
