Blake Griffin has been named the top player in the Western Conference for February after the LA Clippers finished the month strongly with three consecutive wins.
Griffin averaged the third most points per game in the conference with exactly 30, while his 10.7 rebounds per game was the sixth best last month. He was one of only two players to average over 30 and 10 for points and rebounds, respectively.
The Clippers star also recorded eight double-doubles and extend his career best scoring streak of 20-plus-points games to 19, which has since been taken to 20 in March. Griffin will have an opportunity to take this one further when the Clippers face rivals the LA Lakers on Thursday night.
Griffin was able to record the most prolific game of his career at the beginning of February with 43 points against Miami Heat, while he also grabbed 15 rebounds and six assists as the Clippers lost narrowly by 116-112.
February saw the Clippers post a 7-4 record, with consecutive wins over Oklahoma City Thunder, Houston Rockets and New Orleans Pelicans ending the month. They have since posted fourth and fifth consecutive wins in the first week of March.
