John Cena today gave WWE fans an update on his rehabilitation from his latest injury.
The wrestling-veteran suffered a groin injury on the Feb. 24 edition of Raw but took to Twitter to keep everyone updated.
His first tweet hinted that Cena was nearing a return to training:
"That banged up wheel is starting to come around. Gonna test it out tomorrow with a bit of squatting rehab. We will see how it goes," he wrote early Thursday morning.
And then, several hours later, he returned to social media in a positive mood:
"What a morning!! Felt great today. Thank you Rob MacIntyre for helping almost get back 2 normal!
Many had believed that the injury suffered by the star had been scripted in order to promote a specific storyline for the WWE, but it became apparent he had sustained more damage than expected.
According to Mike Johnson of PWInsider Cena tore his groin muscle in the process of fulfilling the storyline injury.
It is hoped that the wrestling superstar will be fit enough to return to the ring in time to prepare himself for WrestleMania 30 in April.
As the major face of the organization the people in charge of WWE will be hoping he can regain full fitness.
