Liverpool are interested in signing former Queens Park Rangers midfielder Dani Parejo, according to talkSPORT.

The 24-year-old Spaniard moved to west London on loan from Real Madrid in 2008 before sealing a move to Valencia via Getafe.

Parejo is said to be a summer target for Liverpool after a string of impressive displays for Valencia this season.

Reds boss Brendan Rodgers sent his head scout Barry Hunter to watch Parejo in action against Granada at the Mestalla on February 23.

Valencia will want to keep hold of Parejo - but may be forced into letting the midfielder go if Liverpool match the star's valuation.

Juan Antonio Pizzi's side look likely to miss out on a spot in Europe next season as the La Liga outfit are currently in ninth place.

Liverpool, on the other hand, look set to seal a spot in next season's Champions League as they are six points ahead of fifth-placed Tottenham with 10 games to go.
