Angels' Del La Rosa to have MRI after poor performance

Published Add your comment

This preseason has not started off too well for the relief pitcher Dane De La Rosa.

In a preseason game today against the LA Dodgers, the rival LA Angels had a tough time thanks to what might be an injury for De La Rosa.

His day started badly, hitting a batsman. It got worse after he gave up a single won and then in the sixth inning, gave up a grand slam.

De La Rosa was quite a favoured player last year by the Angels, having a breakout season after spending nearly a decade in the minor leagues.

He has experienced some very poor form at the start of this preseason having a poor game on Sunday as well, leading to the team giving him an MRI scan.

The Angels bullpen is looking rather shaky at the moment with injury and talent so losing De La Rosa would be a blow.

Although we are not sure even if there is an injury yet, let alone any severity, Angels fans will hope that an easily cleared up injury is to blame and can be fixed quickly before the season starts in two weeks time.
