Ex-Manchester United legend Ruud van Nistelrooy is only 'two weeks away' from making an incredible comeback to football - in the virtual world at least.

The former Dutch international bagged 150 goals for the Red Devils in a five-year period, and has looked back to his best in recent training sessions if the YouTube video at the top of this story is to be believed.

Whilst his coach has claimed that the 37-year-old striker is only a fortnight away from making his dramatic return, he'll only be appearing on video game FIFA 14 however.

In an elaborate publicity stunt by Xbox and EA Sports, Van Nistelrooy will be added to the game's Ultimate Team feature. The campaign, 'Play like a Legend', gives gamers a chance to win ex-footballing legends by completing different challenges.

Van Nistelrooy will only be available for players on Xbox One or Xbox 360. There are other ex-Premier League 'legends' available in the promotion as well, with the likes of Sol Campbell, Dennis Bergkamp and Robbie Fowler making appearances.

It remains to be seen which lucky FUT owner will land Van Nistelrooy though, and his arrival on any team would be a major coup for someone competing at the highest level on the EA Sports game!
