As reported by A Bola, Anfield boss Brendan Rodgers has not been impressed enough with Cissokho to offer him a permeant contract this summer.
The left-back joined Liverpool on loan from Valencia last summer, with the option to sign permanently for €4m.
Cissokho has made 13 Premier League appearances for Rodgers's team this season, but has not lived up to expectations.
He spoke last month about his struggles to adapt to Premier League football, and shrugged off criticism he's received from some quarters regarding his style of play.
To be fair to the left-back, problems with injuries have not helped - but Rodgers has reportedly decided to cut his ties with the player at the conclusion of his loan spell.
That will probably mean Rodgers looks to the transfer market to strengthen the position in the summer.
As for Cissokho, the report claims Valencia are still hopeful they can offload the player as his wages are too high for the Spanish club to support.
