Don't poke the bear, it will only get mad.
This is what Tyson Chandler has found out after getting a big old stick out and jabbing it into Kevin Love's ribs when he said that the Minnesota Timberwolves star can't play defense.
Well Love has responded to the New York Knicks center, and he has given an R-rated reply.
From Fox Sports North writer Phil Erwin:
"Kevin Love, in response to Tyson Chandler's comments about his defense: 'F*** him. I don't give a s***."
Well that settles that then.
Love has been arguably one of the five best players in the league this season and has the incredible stats to back it up.
The 25-year old power forward has averaged 26.5 points per game combined with 13.1 rebounds and 4.1 assists in each encounter.
However, he was quiet in Wednesday's game against Chandler and the Knicks. He made just six of his 17 shots on the night, going for 19 points with eight boards, two assists and three 3-pointers.
I wouldn't be surprised if the Detroit Pistons don't feel the wrath of Kevin in their matchup with the T'wolves tonight.
It turns out that however that Chandler and Love are actually good friends and that the back and forth may well have been just a small joke between the two. Our sarcasm detector must be off.
